Prerequisites
Before suspending a user, make sure you have:
- Admin access to HestiaCP
⚠️ Suspending a user will disable ALL their domains, email, and databases!
Method 1: Suspend via HestiaCP Web Interface
Step 1: Log in to HestiaCP
https://YOUR_SERVER_IP:8083Step 2: Navigate to USER Section
Click on USER in the top menu bar.
Step 3: Click Suspend Icon
Click the Suspend icon next to the user.
Step 4: Confirm
Click Confirm to suspend.
Method 2: Suspend via SSH
/usr/local/hestia/bin/v-suspend-user usernameWhat Happens When User is Suspended
- User cannot log in to HestiaCP
- All user websites become inaccessible
- Email accounts for user's domains are disabled
- Files remain on server
- Databases remain intact
Notify Suspended User
Best practice: Send notification to user's alternative email address.
✅ User has been suspended.
