How to Change VPS Plan (Upgrade/Downgrade)

Prerequisites

Before changing your plan, make sure you have:

  • Hostxpeed account login
  • Active VPS service
  • Backup of important data (recommended before major changes)

Step 1: Log in to Hostxpeed Client Area

Go to https://server.softileo.com and log in.

Step 2: Navigate to Service Details

Click My Services → select your VPS.

Step 3: Find Upgrade/Downgrade Option

Look for buttons like Upgrade, Change Plan, or Package.

If not visible, contact Hostxpeed support.

Step 4: Select New Plan

Choose from available plans:

  • Upgrade – More RAM, CPU cores, or disk space (usually immediate with prorated billing)
  • Downgrade – Fewer resources (may require billing cycle reset)

Step 5: Confirm and Pay (If Applicable)

Upgrades often incur additional charges. Downgrades may provide credit.

Step 6: Wait for Provisioning

Plan changes typically take 5-15 minutes. You may receive an email confirmation.

Step 7: Verify New Resources

After change, SSH into your VPS and check:

free -h             # RAM
nproc               # CPU cores
df -h               # Disk space

Manual Upgrade Alternative (Contact Support)

If self-service upgrade is unavailable, open a support ticket with your desired plan.

✅ Your Hostxpeed VPS plan has been changed. Verify new resources are active.
